Family owned and operated, Quality Produce Suppliers, Inc. is a Illinois corporation, which grew out of Quality Produce Suppliers, Inc., a Florida corporation, which was established in Chicago in 1976, and CVS FARMS, INC., established in 1985. Quality Produce Suppliers, Inc. was restructured as an Illinois corporation in March 2006, with Richard "Rick" Srum as President. Distribution center operations are located at 2060 S. For over 35 years Rick has been involved in the planting, harvesting and selling of watermelons.  His extensive experience in the field places him among a select group of individuals in this highly specialized market.  His personal commitment to providing his customers with the utmost quality is his hallmark.

Our operation is a Distribution Center specializing in the wholesale distribution of watermelons. This facility is located in the downtown area of Chicago, central to the tri-state areas of Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.  It is here that we receive  melons in  bulk from all growing areas, containerizing, palletizing, properly labeling and inspecting them for the convenience of our customers.

Our melons are available in bulk, bins or cartons.

We have been one of the largest bulk distributors of melons in the tri-state area for 30 years. We take pride in the reputation we have established for handling the highest quality melons.  Each one is guaranteed for superior flavor, sugar content and redness.

We are seasonal, with operations from March 1 to November 15th each year. We take pride in having established customer relationships based on trust, quality, pricing and service.
